United States of Amnesty?
By Gölök Z. L. F. Buday
The My Ego Times; VI-03-06; Vancouver, BC - John McCain and Ted “Irish Wetback” Kennedy have conspired in another perverse pragmatic bi-partisan bill or movement. Now this time it’s to tell people that steal the foot in the door that they are equal to those who earn it lining up at consulates, walk to refugee camps or even go for the green card lottery. Those who worked at getting the foot in the door, something a below 49th born Canadian can’t even get; despite a loophole in the Oregon treaty.
Kennedy and McCain claim it isn’t Amnesty for illegal border crossing (which smugglers will still see jail for doing this.) because “it means forgiveness,” and they are not being forgiven, because they don’t need to be yet somehow are being “fined.” Fined being their legal term for putting them in the back of the line; well I have seen this line and it is behind a consulate in the country they came from; my father saw it after escaping Hungary in 1956 through deep cold mud (in this case being sent to the Great Red North, well Montreal is below the 49th as well.).
Immigrant is a lone word used, illegal immigrant and legal immigrant are not being separated as much as it use to be, nor landed immigrant vs. border sneak.
To say that this is not Amnesty is nonsense, it is also nonsense that they are taking jobs Americans don’t want, slave wages they might not perhaps, decriminalize the illegal border crossing and then they will expect the higher paid jobs that get sent to the country they just left. Oddly enough making the “jobs Americans don’t want” more attractive, if they are capable. What were the wise words of Richard “Dick” Lamm at the Reform Party Convention in 1992, “You can’t import workers while you export jobs?,” I may be paraphrasing but that’s how I remember it being ignored.
Sewing clothes and picking things in fields for a few cents an hour is not an average American ambition, it is the only recourse for the naive illegal border crosser who thinks somehow well paying jobs are available to pay for their bills for themself and/or family life. If legitimized they would not legally have to, everything from union memberships to minimum wages in varying states would be their to cover their ass at that point. So then where will those jobs go? Maybe a new 4 cent an hour minimum wage to keep those slave running businesses up? Grants like what Washington Apple growers get wether they want it or not when they lose slaves and can’t afford to stay in business without it?
More government, more taxes, more immigrants, and more outsourced jobs costing the left over people working’s tax dollers in an ever growing welfare state to compensate for the lost jobs?
Criminal behavior rewarded, more government, less jobs to fill, and less tax payers and well I suppose this means that next congressional payraise becomes even more unaffordable as it is inevitable. It’s amazing that the ones with a job like congressman or senator or president, MP, MLA, PM or any other bureaucrat or politician can sit down and make decisions that send jobs out and workers in at the same time not realize that eventually their pay check will bounce in an even more inevitable fiscal implosion. Maybe their’s still water from under the bridge in Ted Kennedy’s ears and McCain was reprogrammed at camp. Both seem fond of tyranny and mindless bureaucratic action, I’d say robotic but that’s a bit redundant. Gölök Z. L. F.
